Sony has a wide collection of standard definition hard disk drive camcorders. One among them is DCR-SR77 Camcorder. It records up to 61 hours of video on an 80GB hard disk drive. This hard disk digital camcorder employs Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens that has a 25X optical zoom and a 2000X digital zoom. There is an image stabilization technique employed in it for clearer videos while shooting hand-held. The 1 mega pixels still images could be recorded on to the internal hard disk or on to the removable memory stick. The videos could be viewed on 2.7 inches LCD screen that employs touch screen technology.
The 5.1 surround sound recording is an impressive feature in Sony DCR-SR77 25X Digital Camcorder. The zoom mic fitted with it provides a clear capture of dialogues and sounds of foreground subjects. Longer shooting time is another asset in this Sony Hard drive camcorder. It extends up to 10 hours of shooting time and an optional battery is also available. The captured videos could be burned onto a Disc at a single touch. Moreover, USB 2.0 high speed compatibility of this camcorder enables a fast transfer to PC.
Sony DCR-SR77 80GB HDD Camcorder comes with an advanced HAD technology that decreases the image noise, which sometimes appear in low light conditions. The focus of the lens of this 1/6 inch CCD Camcorder could be adjusted manually or used in auto mode. While the aperture of the lens ranges from 1.8 to 3.2f, the focal length ranges from 2.5-62.5cm. Some additional features like Picbridge compatibility, audio and S-video output, backlight compensation are found in this camcorder. It measures 105mm deep, 68mm high, 60mm wide and weighs 300gms.
