DCR-DVD650 has a 60x zoom that can capture distant images with most best quality. The handy cam has 1/8” Advanced HAD CCD image sensor that can capture crystal clear still and video images. The Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar professional quality lenses delivers super sharp images.

The big 2.7” LCD provides a convenient surface to navigate menus and other functions. The screen can rotate about 270 degree so that you can capture difficult images at ease. The blur images that is caused by handshake and other disturbances are managed by the DCR-DVD650 Steady Shot Image Stabilizer. The camcorder has a built in microphone with zoom to record clear cut audios. The face index functions arranges the videos by the faces in the scenes. You can easily search the scenes in the video with the film roll index option.

The Sony DCR-DVD650 DVD Handy cam comes with PMB software for one touch uploading of the data on to the website. You can even lock the unwanted button leaving out only the button that you are in need of. Some of the shooting programs that are available in DCR-DVD650 are Snow, Sports mode, Candle, Beach Sunset, Sunrise, Fireworks, Spotlight, Portrait mode, Landscape and Twilight mode. The camcorder supports MS Windows XP , MS Windows 2000 and MS Windows Vista operating systems along with CD drive and USB port options to connect to the PC.
