Sony puts forward the new Sony DCR HC90 Digital Camcorder. The 
unit has compact dimensions of 6.6 x 11 x 9.1cms and weight of 400 grams. This excellent recording device captures and stores the most special occasions in your life. It has advanced HAD CCD optical sensor with a size of 1/3 inches. The system has a sensor resolution of 3.3 megapixels. Video resolution of the system is 2 megapixels.
This Sony digital camcorder has a digital zoom of 120x. Mini DV is the recording media and it has SP, LP recording speeds. MPEG EX is the digital video format and JPEG is the still image format. It has an electronic super steady shot image stabiliser. The digital scene transition modes included are Random, Wipe fader, Black fader, White fader, Mosaic fader, Overlap fader and Monotone fader. It has special effects Sepia, Still, Trail, Mosaic, Pastel, Monotone, Old Movie, Flash Motion, Negative Art, Solarization, Luminance Key and Low Shutter Speed (LSS). This camcorder has digital photo and frame movie shooting modes. The shooting programs included are Landscape, Spotlight, Beach & ski, Sports mode, Portrait mode and Sunset & moon. Custom, automatic white balance modes and indoor, outdoor white balance presets are provided. It has program, automatic and manual exposure modes and spot, matrix exposure metering. The minimum illumination supported is 0 lux. It has automatic as well as manual focus and motorised drive zoom adjustment. The system has TTL contrast detection auto focus. This efficient camcorder has a built in electrets condenser microphone with stereo operation mode. It has DV input, auto dubbing function, time code, low lux/ night mode and digital still camera function. Additional features are built-in speaker, demonstration mode, 16:9 widescreen mode, accessories hot shoe, touch-screen control, backlight compensation, digital noise reduction, RGB primary colour filter, progressive shutter system, 5.1 channel surround sound and analogue to digital conversion with pass through. An infrared remote control is also provided for the system.
