Excellent colour reproduction is done by the new Panasonic's Crystal Engine and MPEG2 engine. Useful software called ‘Image mixer 3' has been included with the device. Panasonic SDR-H250 weighs just 460 grams excluding the battery.

For successful recording it needs power up to 3.9 watts. Supportive video format for recording is MPEG2. You can choose any one of the recording modes namely XP, SP, LP etc. It supports focal length from 3.0 to 30 mm. Video focal length is measured as 47.1 to 471 mm in 16:9 format. Audio can be recorded in Digital Dolby technology using 2 channels. SD memory can support only MPEG1 format. It has been made with the compatibility to support minimum illumination up to 1 Lux. Optimum Lens aperture is calculated as F/1.8 to 2.8.

Both manual and auto focus are supported by Panasonic SDR-H250 Digital Camcorder . Supportive white balance modes are auto, outdoor, indoor and white set. Shutter speeds of video and still images are calculated as 1/50 to 1/8000 and 1/25 to 1/2000 seconds. Two available interfaces of the unit are USB 2.0 and AV Multi-out. It is mandatory to use Lithium Ion battery to offer battery power. The unit has been compactly designed and its height, width and depth are measured as 7.3, 7.1 and 12.1 cm.
