Panasonic is all set to come up with a camcorder fitted with the Micro Four Thirds lens in its AG-AF100 model. Users can easily swap lenses and employ a lens adapter that will include both the filters and the Four Thirds lens. Panasonic AG-AF100 Digital Camcorder can work on wide range of Micro F
our Thirds lenses rather than the built-in lens. Micro Four Thirds lenses are also used in cameras that use mirror-less design. A large sensor is used in this model unlike the other digital camcorder models. The CMOS sensor in this model records full high definition footage at frame rates from 24p up to 60p at a maximum resolution of 1080. This camcorder comes with two SDHC/ SDXC card slots that can record up to 12 hours of clippings on to a pair of 64GB SDXC cards. The capacity of the SDXC card is upto 2 terabytes. Audio is supported with the built-in stereo microphone and 48kHz/16-bit digital audio recording.
Panasonic has not announced neither the release date nor the price. But the product is to go on sale later this year. The price of this model is not going to be cheaper with the introduction of the new Micro Four Thirds lens.
