Detailed Description
This Canon MD215 800P Digital Video Camcorder has an effective sensor resolution of 800 pixels. Sensor type of this camcorder is CCD and the sensor size is 1/6”. It has a digital zoom of 2000x that helps to bring the far objects very closer. It comes with an electronic image stabilizer. This model is PC and MAC compatible. The maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds and the minimum is 1/6 seconds.
It supports a self-timer for 10 seconds. Special effects supported by the device are white and black, sepia, art and mosaic. Minimum illumination is 1.6lux. With recording speeds of SP and LP, the exposure modes are Programme and automatic. With built in video light and quick start function, this Canon digital camcorder also supports REC, Review/REC, Search function and enables up to 5 hours of recording. For audio input, it has a built in microphone. White balance supported is Automatic and presets which includes Tungsten light and daylight. Shooting programs supported are Spotlight, portrait mode, night mode, fireworks, sports mode, sunset, beach and snow.
The zoom lens of this camcorder comes with a focal length of 2.6 mm - 96.2 mm. With automatic/ manual focus adjustments, the minimum focus range is 1 cm. The lens aperture is F/2.0-5.2 and the optical zoom is 37 x. Zoom adjustment supported is Motorized drive. It also supports low lux/night mode. This camcorder comes with a DV out and a built in charger.
Display type is 2.7” colour TFT active matrix LCD display. With rotating form factor, the display format is 112,000 pixels. Connector types are 1 x microphone, 1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) and 1 x composite video/audio output. Battery supported with this camcorder is 1 x Canon BP-2L5 Li-ion rechargeable battery (included) that gives you a very high back up.
