camcorder under the name Canon MD205 MiniDV Digital Camcorder which will be of utmost utility to you in capturing your memorable and unforgettable moments.
Product Specifications
The new Canon MD205 Digital Camcorder has a standard definition apart from record to tape facility. MiniDV Video Recording Format is provided. The optical zoom is 32x (Advanced 36x) whereas the digital zoom is 2000x. With a widescreen colour LCD screen of size 2.7" and TFT active matrix technology, the device offers impressive results. The other added functions are Image Stabiliser, Colour Viewfinder with diagonal size .35” and resolution 114,000 pixels.
Lithium ion is the battery type provided that supports a life time up to 300 minutes. Manual focus is possible in this unit. The Top Shutter Speed is 1/2000th sec whereas the Slow shutter speed is 1/6 secs. A built-in light is provided in the unit that allows you to take impressive shots. Approximately 1.6lux (night mode) is the minimum light offered. Weighing 380gm its dimensions are (W x H x D) 68 x 82 x 127 mm.
This MiniDV camcorder comes with a CCD sensor having a size of 1/6" that supports a sensor resolution of 800,000 pixels. It also supports 540,000 effective Interlaced colour correction filter. The minimum focusing distance is 10mm. The supplied sound media are Digital PCM stereo sound 2-channel 16-bit (48 Khz) and 4-channel 12-bit (32 Khz). A built in stereo (Electret condenser) Microphone is the audio input while AV is the video output.
DV out (IEEE1394, FireWire) is also supported by the unit and PC and Mac are the compatible platforms. The standard focal length is 2.6 - 83.2 mm whereas Focal lengths equivalent to 35 mm video is 40.5 - 1,676 mm. The known maximum focal ratio is f/20 to f/4.6. It supports motorised drive zoom adjustment and a 10-second self timer. DIGIC DV image processor with 10 AE programmes including easy, programme, portrait, sport etc is an added benefit of the device.
With True Wide High Resolution 16:9 and Instant shooting facility with Quick Start this camcorder has a microphone input connection, Joystick interface for easy control, LCD video light along with Easy Mode and Program AE modes. Record search, date search are the search modes provided. The display format supported is 112,000 pixels and the display form factor is rotating type. This colour supportive camcorder has programmed as well as automatic exposure modes. A wipe fader is attached and the Recording Speeds are SP and LP.
The various shooting modes possible are Spotlight, portrait mode, night mode, fireworks, sports mode, sunset, beach and snow while the special effects are Art, Black & White, Sepia, Mosaic, Neutral, Vivid and Skin Detail. Automatic and preset white balance is provided with white balance presets as tungsten light and daylight.
