Custom, Presets and Automatic White balances are supported by the unit. White balance presets include Shade, Cloudy, Daylight, Tungsten light, Fluorescent light (cool white) and Fluorescent light (warm white). The built –in light ensures picture quality as well.
It has 3.3 mega pixels as the sensor resolution and 2.07 mega pixels as Effective Video Resolution. Effective Still Resolution is 2.76 MP. Some other features of this effective device are 24p Cinema Mode, Histogram display, PictBridge support, USB 2.0 compatibility, RGB primary colour filter and Dolby Digital AC-3 (2 channel) recording. It also has the facility to take photos while you are recording a movie. Therefore you are not going to miss any snaps or videos. The 2.7in colour LCD TFT active matrix rotating display allows you to rectify all distortions and defects while recording. There is also a built-in microphone with stereo operation mode. Self timer with self timer delay of 10 sec and 2 sec are available too.
Talking about to the lens system, it has zoom lens with minimum focal length of 4.8mm and a maximum of 57 mm. With a lens aperture of F/1.8-3.0, it has 9 Auto Focus points. Focus adjustments can be done both manually as well as automatically. Optical Zoom is 12x and the filter size is 37mm. The digital zoom supported by the unit is 200x. The lens of the new Canon HF100 3.3 MP Digital camcorder has a built-in lens shield. Maximum shutter speed is 1/2000sec while minimum is ½ sec.
It supports Programme, automatic, aperture-priority and shutter-priority Exposure modes. The recording speed supported by the unit is LP, SP, XP and XP+.
Software’s supported by the device are PIXELA Image Mixer and Drivers & Utilities. Connector types are 1 x Microphone, 1 x Composite video/audio output, 1 x Headphones, 1 x USB, 1 x HDMI and 1 x Component video output.
