More than 2700 companies exhibit their innovative products on the show. Sony the international competitor has come out with a modest yet powerful updation to the line of HD camcorders. The new model equips CMOS Exmor-R at the back of it to improve the image quality with more light. This new technology has been implemented in almost all the competitive companies.
Further the HD camcorder has “Golf Shot Mode” which keeps buffering until it hear a click to shoot video. It saves 1.5 seconds worth of frames prior to the button press for recording. The golf function doesn’t stop till that, it also extends it functionality at the end of the video. Plus 0.5 seconds of video frames are saved when the user clicks the stop button. This is a very innovative feature, letting the user never miss the most significant shots. Sony’s 550V version camcorder has got improvement in resolution and LCD screen that is been extended to 3.5 inch for more wider viewing. Also HD models now support SDHC memory slot in addition to memory stick for more fun through lengthy recording.
Sony HDR-XR550V which was priced $1,400 has come down to $1,300 along with new additions with 10x Zoom, bigger LCD, greater bit rates to capture and of course increased memory.
